You are sitting on the porch at Campus on the Ranch, enjoying the warmth, when suddenly you see Stacey approaching.
She looks unusually anxious, glancing quickly from side to side. She sees you, and looking around, motions you to
follow her to the prayer room.
"What's wrong?" you ask.
"It's Mike." Stacey said. "He's been stolen!"
"Stolen? You mean kidnapped?"
"Whatever. Semantics. No one has seen him for over a day, and we just got a note. He's been stolen by an Inter-Varsity
splinter group looking for a regional director. They aren't easy to come by you know. I know you're sort of on vacation,
but I need your help. Actually, we need your help. What I'm about to tell you doesn't leave this room."
She paused, eyeing you, and you nod to acknowledge you understand. Taking a deep breath, Stacey continued.
"Do you recognize this?" she asked, pulling a metal crest from her pocket.
"Sure, it's the old Inter-Varsity crest. I haven't seen it used for a few years."
"It's more than that. It's the crest of The Order." Gaging your reaction, she continues. "I'm part of a secret
order of staff, recruited to protect the Atlantic Canadian regional directors. Until now, we've been able to handle
any threats that have arisen. But this time... it's different." Stacey paused, and then looks you square in the eyes.
"The Order is skilled, with a lot of good people. But we think we need some outside help for this case. We need a
special tracker, someone who could be blindfolded and still find a slimline New Testement in a 100 acre swamp using
nothing but duct tape and a magnetized paper clip. And you're the first person we thought of. We need you. Will
you join us?"
- If you reply "Well, thanks, but I'd rather work on my tan. I think I'll pass," then go ahead. Sit on the porch and maybe never see poor Mike again.
